# How to Find Role ID

# How to Find a Discord Role ID

To assign permissions or manage roles with your bot, you’ll need the role’s unique ID.

**Steps:**

1. Open Discord and go to **User Settings** > **Advanced**.
2. Enable **Developer Mode**.
3. Right-click the role in your server and select **Copy Role ID**.

**Tip:** Role IDs are used in bot code for permission checks and role management.
